The following catfishing guide rates are for 2 people to go. Each additional person is a flat rate $75 extra, up to 6 people. A $50 non refundable deposit must be paid via PayPal friends and family, Venmo, Cash App, or check to reserve that day. Contact us for the deposit. The remaining balance isn’t due until the day of your trip. Please bring cash for that. While it’s not required, if you have had a great time and if you’ve enjoyed your captains service and effort, consider a tip for him.

For lodging, we recommend staying at our exclusive Airbnb “Getaway by the lake” in Guntersville, Alabama. This house sleeps 6 guest, has a full kitchen, washer and dryer, WiFi, outdoor fire pit, and a hot tub and is 3 minutes from my favorite launch area and 5 minutes from restaurants and downtown Guntersville. Anyone booking a trip with us and staying there will receive special pricing for their rental ($125/night) for however long you stay. Be sure to tell them you are fishing with Backwoods Catfishing when making the reservation for that rate. Call or text James Reno at 949-300-8072 to book. If you book through Airbnb it will cost more. If you would like a hotel instead,for the same price, there is a Hampton Inn located 10 minutes from the launch site.

All you will need to bring is a cooler for your drinks and food and a valid Alabama fishing license for anyone older than 16 years old. Those can be bought at any bait and tackle shop around the lake or online at Outdoor Alabama.

For your convenience here is a calendar showing what days are available. The only month we do not fish is June, this month is when most catfish spawn.
